Red Center - Alice Springs

I flew from Sydney to Alice Springs wednesday morning, arriving 40min before flight departure with my backpack that had to be checked - not stressful at all.

The rest of the trip went well though, and as I landed and looked out the window, all I could think of was "but where is civilization?!". It's hard to explain what Alice is like. It's considered the capital og central Australia, but is still so very small. It's in the middle of the desert with absolutely nothing around it for many hundreds of kilometers, except for petrol stations, kangaroos, and rocks. Many aboriginal people live there, which I didn't expect, and suprisingly, there's something going on every week (parties, workshops or a desert festival, which I was at).
It definitely has its charme, not sure I'd want to live there though.
